Build bridges, not silos: what's new with Semantic Bridge

More metadata, broader SQL-to-DAX coverage, and less manual work — see what the latest Semantic Bridge update brings to your workflow.

The latest Semantic Bridge update adds support for the V1.1 metric view spec, which introduces format strings, friendly display names, and synonyms. These are the kinds of metadata you'd expect in a Tabular model, and now they carry over automatically from Databricks. That means better results for both BI reporting tools and agent-driven workflows right out of the box.

We've also expanded the SQL-to-DAX translation engine substantially. It now handles arithmetic, nulls and other literals, safe divides, and snowflake joins, covering more of the metric view surface area automatically.

Join Greg Baldini for a 45-minute feature highlight covering:

  • Intro to metric views and the Semantic Bridge
  • Basic migration workflows
  • Advanced scripting and pre-import validation
  • CI/CD with the Tabular Editor CLI — automatically mirroring metric views into your Tabular model as they're committed to source control
  • Q&A
